I wanted to do a quick update, since it's been a while. For the past 2 months I have to say that my diet has been absolutely ABYSMAL. More than terrible. Luckily, there has only been a weight gain of about 10 pounds. That's more than I would ever like, but with 2 months of eating whatever I pleased, when I please, I have to say it could have been worse.
During this time I have been working out with my trainer, (usually around 2-3 times a week.) I am supposed to meet with her 3 times a week, but both of our schedules have been absolutely hectic, and that has been difficult to deal with. Things have finally started to settle, and lately we have been meeting the typical 3 times a week. I had not been working out on my own during this time though.
Recently I had a big talk with my trainer. to let her know how I'd been struggling with food, and how I was upset with myself for the weight gain. Just getting that out in the open made me feel much better. Then I truly thought about the weight gain. I know that I can (relatively easily) lose the weight again, as long as I stick to a clean food plan, and continue my workouts. And though I think it's a miniscule amount of gain, I do know that I have muscle growth as well.
I wanted to mention that if you feel like you're struggling, with anything, and this feeling lasts you more than just a couple of days, talk to someone. Oftentimes it will make you feel much better, and you will find a way to move on and make things better. I'm not used to confiding to anyone how I feel, especially when I'm truly upset, but it's beneficial.
The last note I wanted to make was the past few days have a vast improvement in my eating habits. Not perfect, but MUCH better. In addition to that, during the 2 months my eating habits were not good, I was also not doing much working out on my own. Now I'm incorporating cardio again by doing a couple of different workout videos! I primarily like to do Turbo Fire and Jeanette Jenkins Cardio Kickboxing. Each last around 50-60 minutes (depending if I do the warm up and cool down), and I can burn 650-730 calories during each session!
Everyone goes through difficult times, and that really is part of life. Just make sure you learn, and continue on. Do not allow yourself to be defeated, and give yourself a reason to fall into a deeper funk!
