Yesterday evening I decided I would finally go on a nice walk in the area I live. There was a specific church I wanted to walk to, and I decided I'd turn around once I got there. It was a lovely walk, and I had no idea how far I'd gone total. Once I got home the back of my heels were bloody - which was the only major downside I woke up this morning and discovered soreness, specifically in the right groin area! I checked it out on the map and it turns out I had walked 4 miles. I had also developed a large blister on my toe haha. It was worth it though :). Today was a day with my trainer, and it ended up being a leg circuit. Started on the quad machine, did some pop squats, and then jumping jacks for the first round - which I did 4 times. The second round was on the hamstring machine, and alternating jumping lunges - again 4 times. The last round was walking lunges where you lift your back leg after each step, and then backward walking lunges, which was only done twice. Now I am not sore in my groin or muscles, but my shins are a little on the sore side! I'm meeting with my trainer again tomorrow, so I may update this on the type of workout I ended up doing. |
